Wherever you may be gathering your information from, it is always a good idea to write out some questions that you would like answered. Ask about the trustworthiness of the contractor, whether they communicate well, and if they are able to get the required permits for your project.
Make Some Phone Calls
Once you’ve done some research and looked at reviews, call a few different contractors and ask some general questions to get a better understanding of their company and the projects they do. Find out if they have done similar projects to yours in the past as well as if they have references, what they specialize in, and their licensing and insurance.
Gather Bids
Once you’ve narrowed down your list to a few of the best contractors with a clean track record and good work ethic, it is time to reach out for a bid.
